Young flutists will be selected to perform for the classes, taught by local artists and teachers, at the Mid-Atlantic Flute Fair. The class is open to all students in grade 12 and under. Music written for flute and keyboard does not need to be recorded with both instruments, but is encouraged. At least two students from each performance level (beginner, intermediate, and advanced) will be selected to perform during the classes. Flutists who performed in a student master class at the 2009 flute fair are not eligible to participate in the 2010 class. Performance level is based on the musical selection, not age or grade. This program is part of the pedagogy series. See residency requirement above. Applicants are discouraged from entering required selections from other 2010 FSW competitions.
Requirements:
1. A recording of the music the applicant wishes to perform in the class, if selected.
2. application fee is $10.
