Three’s A Crowd
Intermediate-Level Unaccompanied Duets
– Selections from the last 50
years
Tim Friedlander, Coordinator
Saturday, February 16
12:00 pm, Room 6
Among the notable duets written for flutes
in the
last 50 years are Richard Rodney Bennett’s Conversations, Jindřich
Feld’s Cinq Inventions, Yusef Lateef’s 123 Duets, Robert Muczynski’s
Duos, the Hip to the Blues volumes by Jonathon Robbins and Lee West,
and the many contributions by Mike Mower and Gary Schocker. A
growing number of jazzy and Latin-rhythm pieces are joining the
neoclassical form duets.
