Off to Chicago for the NFA Convention?

Don’t miss our local flutists and ensembles performing at this year’s 50th Anniversay Convention.

The convention program chair is our own Aaron Goldman with lots of help from Laura Benning!

Alicia Kosack is competing in the Alto Flute Artist Competition. Saturday, August 13th from 1pm (Waldorf).

    NFA’s Past Presidents’ Flute Choir in Debussy’s “Clair de Lune” (arranged by Mark Thomas) and Diemer’s “Toccata” in tribute to the life of NFA’s founder.
  • Gala Concert and Closing Ceremonies Sunday, August 14. 4-6 PM. International Ballroom, NFA’s Past Presidents’ Flute Choir
    in selections by Christensen, Feld and Farmer.

The Chesapeake Flute Consort, under the direction of Gail Vehslage, will be playing at the NFA Convention in the lobby of the Normandie Lounge at noon on Saturday.

Baltimore Flute Choir, directed by Sara Nichols, will perform Friday, August 12th at 9:30am in Continental C.

DCFlutes, directed by Aaron Goldman and Sandra Ragusa, Saturday, August 13 at 2:00 pm in Continental C. Program will include Grow As a River by Jonathan Cohen, commissioned by DCFlutes in honor of its 10th anniversary.
