Flute Society of Washington Membership Dues

A life, full or student FSW membership with a renewal date of 3/1/2025 or later is required to register for the convention. If you are seeing this page your FSW membership expires before 3/1/2025 or you are not a current member. Any membership questions, please contact membership@fsw.net.

Our student membership is limited to students enrolled in an undergraduate program or who are high school and younger. Graduate students and adult amateurs should select a full or life membership. A full or life membership is required to be added to our teacher list and small ensemble get-together lists.

Convention Early Registration

Convention presenters, convention flute performers, members of the Festival Choir, High School Choir, director/coordinator of a Showcase choir, masterclass performers and finalists of competitions, including Young Artist, Collegiate Soloist and Honors should select "Early Convention Fee (entire weekend) option.

Non-Flutist Guest Pass

Up to two(2) passes may be purchased for your non-flutist guests. Badges are NOT required for those attending the festival flute choir, high school flute choir, junior choir concerts or the flute choir showcase events. A badge is required for anyone entering the exhibit hall. If additional passes are needed they can be purchased at the on-site registration desk or contact membership@fsw.net

Media Notice

All convention registrants are required to agree or disagree with the following notice: The convention may be photographed, video or audio recorded. You agree to have your likeness recorded for possible non-commercial use by The Flute Society of Washington, Inc. for promotional purposes, advertising and/or inclusion on the organization’s website, social media or for any other digital or print purpose. If the registrant is under the age of 18, the parent or legal guardian of the named minor agrees to the above statement. This notice does not apply to artists and presenters who have a seperate agreement with the organization.

Opted-out Notice

If you opt-out of the FSW media notice you will receive a red lanyard with your name badge. The FSW will not use any media which includes attendees with a red lanyard who are recognizable. Photography, audio and video recordings from the Mid-Atlantic Flute Convention help Flute Society of Washington to display the vibrancy and joy of our musical community. We use photos to enhance the quality of our print materials, newsletters, the website, social media, publicity, and fundraising. We also use photos to further our efforts in education, outreach, and supporting the connection between flutists across the region. Please contact fswconventiondirector@fsw.net to submit a written request to opt-out.

Festival Flute Choir

Members MUST be able to attend both rehearsals and the performance to participate. High School Flute Choir and Junior Flute Choir members should not register for this event event.

The Festival Flute Choir is open to all registered attendees on a space-available basis. Registration deadline is February 1, 2024. DO NOT register if you are playing in the Junior or High School flute choirs.

Food trucks will be available each day during lunch.

Cabaret Buffet Dinner

The Cabaret performance is OPEN to all registered attendees. Purchasing the dinner is not required to attend, and a cash bar will be available.

Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 7:45 PM, Colvin Run Room | A homestyle buffet dinner with fire roasted chicken, meatloaf, and a variety of southern-style sides, dessert, iced tea, coffee, decaf, and hot tea. Vegan and gluten free options available.
