The Flute Choir Showcase provides an opportunity for flute choirs of all kinds and levels (fifes, baroque flutes, Celtic, indigenous and world flutes, etc.) to perform at the upcoming Mid-Atlantic Flute Convention. The showcase is held on both Saturday and Sunday during the convention weekend. Applicants are not required to be a member of FSW to apply for the showcase but the choir director is required to pre-register for the convention, if the choir is selected to perform. All choir members are encouraged to register for the convention to be able to take part in all other activities. The showcase is free and open to the public.

General Information

  • Submit a completed online application.
  • A flute choir for this event is defined as six or more flutes.
  • Membership in The Flute Society of Washington, Inc is NOT required to submit an application.
  • If a choir is scheduled to perform in the showcase held at the convention, the director or group representative is required to submit their convention registration no later than January 10, 2026. FSW membership is required to register for the convention.
  • The showcase is held on both Saturday and Sunday of the convention weekend.
  • Each choir is allotted 30 minutes for their performance, which includes performing 20 minutes of music, time between selections to reset, and speaking.
