Proposal Application "*" indicates required fields Step 1 of 8 - Welcome 0% In preparation for the 2025 Mid-Atlantic Flute Convention, The Flute Society of Washington invites you to reflect on the number of ways in which music and the flute can move you. Music That Moves You, can be interpreted both literally and metaphorically, fostering a wide variety of exciting performance and presentation opportunities. Throughout the weekend, we will be highlighting the immense power of music through its ability to move us physically, emotionally, and throughout time. Share music with our community that moves boundaries through works that contribute to civil, social, or cultural movements. Demonstrate how teaching and the ways we learn continue to evolve over time. Reveal the varying paths that we can take while traversing our careers. Showcase the fusion of music with other art forms such as dance, literature, and illustration. Transport us back in time with musical treasures of the past and propel us into the future with the introduction of new music. We encourage proposals that include your unique inspirations and what sets you into motion! The proposal application will October 15, 2024. We look forward to seeing you at the convention!
