2026 Mid-Atlantic Flute Convention

Perform or present at the upcoming Flute Society of Washington annual flute convention

"Celebrating Our Stories"

From the Program Chair:

The 2026 Mid-Atlantic Flute Convention is our most exciting yet. The Flute Society of Washington is celebrating its 60th Anniversary, this year marks our 40th annual flute convention, our Nation is witnessing its 250th year, and all of us have stories to share within and beyond these broad narratives. Our theme, "Celebrating Our Stories," strives to hold a wide spectrum of space for what you are passionate about, your unique stories that no one else can tell but you, what's most important to you amidst times more tumultuous than ever, how you are navigating it all with music, and our rich and diverse community of flutists of all kinds. This year's convention adamantly welcomes a fuller representation from different aspects of the flute family of instruments including the fife and drum community, indigenous and world instruments, and particularly Native American flute with the world renowned Native American flutist R. Carlos Nakai as one of our featured guest artists.
