Convention Intern

Open to students ages 18 or older

Are you:

• Handy with AV equipment?
• Organized, timely and efficient?
• Creative and enthusiastic?
• Great with social media?

Then we need your help to make the year's convention a success!

Assist convention staff as a:

• Door monitor
• Page turner
• Registration desk attendant
• Stagehand
• AV assistant
• Meal monitor
• Exhibit Hall assistant
• Flute Choir Showcase assistant

In exchange for your time and talents, interns will receive two night's hotel accommodation (double occupancy), waived MAFC registration and $60 meal stipend.

Application requirements:

1. Prior relevant experience is a plus, but not required, ex. administrative experience or working with AV equipment
2. Preference of intern assignments
3. Past involvement with Flute Society of Washington, if any
4. One (1) letter of recommendation from a non-family member, flute professor preferred, at the time of application

Applications are being accepted through December 15, 2023.

Interviews for all applicants will be held via Zoom with selection notification by January 5, 2024.

All interns must attend an online training via Zoom (TBD).
