Flute Society of Washington is now accepting proposals!
Deadline: October 15, 2023 at 11:59pm EDT.
The 2024 Program Chair, Stephanie Ray, now welcomes all proposals for the 2024 Mid-Atlantic Flute Convention in Herndon, Virginia. Special consideration will be given to proposals related to the main theme:
Cultivating Curiosity
Cultivating Curiosity involves nurturing the drive to seek new knowledge and experiences by fostering open-mindedness, promoting creativity, and embracing the abundance of possibilities. It's about sparking imagination, welcoming exploration and experimentation, encouraging unconventional thinking, expanding awareness, and a willingness to view the unknown as a pathway to discovery and learning, instead of an obstacle.
Proposal Guidelines
This convention is only possible because of the amazing flutists who participate every year, from close-to-home in the Mid-Atlantic to all the way across the world. Please join us in 2024 by submitting your proposal, sharing ideas with a wonderful community of flutists and creating a rich experience for all attendees!
Proposals will be accepted in the following categories:
- Performance: Performance proposals may include works for solo flute, flute with piano or electronics, or flute chamber works.
